Foys Solicitors - 50 Years in the making!!

With our roots firmly placed in the communities of South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire, Foys are proud to be celebrating 50 years of serving our clients as committed and enthusiastically as we did in 1972 (although not all of us were around then!!). With the average house price in 1972 being £6,966 things have undoubtedly changed, but our ethos is still the same. We are a local firm serving local families and businesses providing a professional and personal service.

There have been some changes over the years, with the acquisition of the firm of John E Millar in 2001 and more recently Dean Thomas & Co in 2017 to add Retford and Clowne offices to our existing offering of Worksop, Doncaster, Rotherham, Waterthorpe, and Chapeltown. These successes have allowed to us to broaden our regional presence and provide a personal service to clients in those areas.

Whilst the average pint of beer is considerably more than the 14p it was in 1972 our Partners and staff intend to celebrate in style and toast to the future of Foys and our clients. Whilst some of our younger members of staff will not remember Don McLean’s American Pie topping the charts no doubt the older members among us will show them how to disco!!

Whilst much has changed, other things remain constant and we are proud to be celebrating our fiftieth anniversary on the same year as Her Majesty The Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee.
