Foys Solicitors, are proud to highlight the firm's continued commitment to supporting young people as they explore their future career opportunities.

Members of the Foys team, Andrea Honeybone, Lisa Copeland and Jane Fieldhouse, attended the Ecclesfield School Careers Opportunity Event, where they had the pleasure of meeting with Year 10 and Year 11 students to discuss careers in law and the wider professional services sector.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the many different pathways into the legal profession. Lisa and Jane spoke with students about the skills and qualities that employers look for, the variety of roles available within a law firm, and the different routes into a legal career, including apprenticeships, college courses, university study and workplace experience.

Throughout the day, students were encouraged to ask questions about working in law, gaining valuable insights into the realities of a legal career. Discussions covered everything from client care and administration roles to becoming a solicitor, demonstrating that there are many rewarding opportunities within the legal sector for individuals with different interests and strengths.

Andrea Honeybone commented:

"Supporting young people as they consider their future careers is incredibly important. Events such as the Ecclesfield School Careers Opportunity Event help students gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them and build confidence in making informed decisions about their next steps. We are delighted that Lisa and Jane were able to represent Foys Solicitors and share their experiences with the students."

The event also allowed Foys Solicitors to demonstrate its commitment to engaging with local communities and helping inspire the next generation of professionals. By sharing practical career advice and real-world experiences, Lisa and Jane helped students develop a greater awareness of the legal profession and the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Foys Solicitors would like to thank Ecclesfield School for organising such a valuable event and for inviting the firm to take part.

We wish all Year 10 and Year 11 students the very best as they continue their educational journey and begin planning for their future careers.

This is what Ecclesfield School had to say.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks for taking part in our Year 10 and Year 11 Opportunities Evening.

The event was extremely well attended, and the feedback received from both students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive. Your willingness to give up your time to speak with our young people, share your expertise, and discuss the wide range of education, training, apprenticeship, and career opportunities available made a significantcontribution to the success of the evening.

Events such as this play a vital role in helping students make informed decisions about their future pathways, and we are very grateful for the support you continue to provide to the Ecclesfield School community.
